Nielsen's wine tasting event featuring Miguel Lepe

We hope all those who attended enjoyed this wonderful new wine made by Miguel Lepe, who was the winemaker for Figge wines, also a local winery.  Miguel provided his Petit Verdot, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, and Rose.  Refreshments and tasting were free for all those who attended.  Nielsen's is selling Lepe Cellars wines in the wine cellar, which, by the way is the oldest wine cellar in Carmel!!

" We are English, and live here on the Monterey Peninsula.  We are currently setting up a local business called PG Pyes  - all based around a traditional English family recipe.  

Our Ham and Egg hand held pies are an original recipe from Oxborough - Lesley's Grandmother.  May was born in Suffolk, England in 1902.  As a little girl Lesley remembers May baking pies once a year just after Christmas.  She used left over Christmas ham from the family celebrations and sourced eggs from the  food farm.  A once a year treat that family and friends always looked forward to .  Of course the tradition was passed to Lesley's mum, Irene and now in 2018 Lesley takes that tradition and bakes pies for our family holiday celebrations.

We have taken May's recipe adn re=created those very pies- we no longer use lefovers but top quality ingredients sourced here in California.  We bake for friends and special events and intend to launch PG Pyes later in 2018."

Wine Tasting at Nielsen's Monterey County Wines featuring Lepe Cellars

Wow! Only at Nielsen's the place where wine vendors from Moet Chandon to local California wines come and celebrate, mingle, and enjoy these wine tastings and pairings.  On July 27, 2018 Friday, from 4:30pm to 6pm at our wine bar on San Carlos & 7th, N.E.C. Carmel by the Sea!!  Monterey County Wines will be featuring Lepe's Wines will be poured by Miguel Lepe the 2016 Chardonnay, 2016 Zinfandel, and 2016 Petit Verdot on Friday, July 27, 2018.  Must be 21 years or older.  Free admission. Free refreshments.
